Glenfiddich

Even better weather today, so up to the Glenfiddich distillery. At 10 for the grand tour. The tourguide, although a nice young lady looks like she is a "Rollade" that is Dutch, or like a bondage SM figure, so thight is here blouse and as always some pounds too much. But great tour starting with a ncie movie and during the tour we are not allowed to use our phone or even have it on standby, too much chance for explosions ... :-(.
She told a lot of interesting stuff. The wooden barrels they use to store the Whiskey for years were actually in the past used for Shery and Brandy. This is giving the different flavors but also the different colors to the Whiskey. This is also the reason the barrels only last for some years as all flavor and colors are out in some time.
I got me some bottles, one for my father and one for a colleguae.

I wanted to go North but decided to drive straight to Aberdeen as I have to go in line around 15.00 and driving takes much more time than expected.

Aberdeen is a rather nice city, many old buildings, mostly made of granite. Meaning it is also a rather grey town. Now I underdstand all the Purple, Green, Orange and Yellow in the houses.

About colors .. the English are bad taste, the Scott are even worse. They really do no know how to dress. They always dress a few sizes too little and colors are outragious. If they look nice, they have many tattoos or silver and gold through extending parts. It is good they still have school uniforms, else it would be even more problematic.

I am now in the only Internet cafe of Aberdeen, well people do not know of another one, still no possibility to upload some pictures. Off to the boat, speak to you later from the Shetland Island. Just bought me another book of the Islands to make the most out of it.
